After a transformative venture to California in his late teens to record an album with The Shrives, Nottingham’s Matt Darin has honed his indie/folk writing style through years of study and travel. This experience in America served as the catalyst for his artistic evolution, igniting his passion for writing music and shaping his distinctive writing style.

 

He recently released his debut single 'I've Loved You A Long Time', this garned attention from Dean Jackson at BBC Introducing, as well as more airplay on other local BBC Radio shows. His new single, "To Know You," set for release on Friday, 24th May 2024, marks a significant milestone in his musical career, delving into the complexities of falling in love and truly understanding someone, accepting them as they are in the moment.
